Computer for educational opportunity/College
I am requesting consideration for the donation of a laptop for a single father who is currently pursuing higher education while maintaining his recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to rebuilding his life through sustained sobriety, active participation in treatment, lives in sober living and is active in his community. He is dedicated to creating a stable future for himself and his children. As he prepares to begin college, access to a reliable laptop is essential for completing coursework, attending online classes, conducting research, communicating with instructors, and fulfilling academic requirements. As a single parent, he faces significant financial challenges while balancing the responsibilities of parenting, work, recovery, and education. Purchasing a computer is currently beyond his financial means, creating a barrier to achieving his educational and career goals. A donated laptop would provide more than just access to technology—it would be an investment in his long-term success, independence, and continued recovery. Education is a protective factor that supports financial stability, self-sufficiency, and sustained sobriety, allowing him to build a healthier future for himself and his family. Your generosity would help remove a significant obstacle and provide his with the tools needed to succeed academically while continuing the positive progress he has made in recovery. Thank you for considering this request and for supporting individuals who are working diligently to transform their lives through education and recovery. A windows based laptop would be most beneficial,$350.00 of $350.00
