What caused this need?
Client is a 23 year old diagnosed with Genetic Torsion Dystonia (Chorea). His diagnosis prevents him from riding a standard bicycle. Client has a tendency to isolate at home as he is unable to access the community without the assistance of his caregivers. A bike path has recently been completed in his neighborhood, giving him direct access to the community. A recumbent bike would allow him to access this independently, regaining some of his independence that he lost when he was diagnosed 5 years ago.
