UPDATE: WE NEED MORE GROUP VOLUNTEERS ON THE FIRST AND SECOND SUNDAYS OF EACH MONTH AT OUR NEW LOCATION! Volunteers are needed at our Day Center, located at Shepherd of the Hill Church, 145 Engler Blvd.Chaska, MN 55318 Phone: 952-230-2930. We would welcome individuals, families, groups, or congregations to volunteer with us. We find that volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule each week or month better establish supportive relationships with our families. We are seeking volunteers for the following shifts: ? Sundays, 8am ? Noon ? Sundays, Noon ? 4pm ? Weekdays, as needed (4 hour shifts during the day) Volunteers help coordinate with families as they come and go, and we encourage volunteers to plan activities for the children in the program. CALL TO SERVICE, FAMILIES IN NEED ? Families Moving Forward Southwest is seeking volunteers to help support families as they exit homelessness. We are the only emergency family shelter in Scott and Carver County. We cannot offer families in need with this sort of community-based support scaled individually to each family?s needs without our wonderful volunteers! We host up to four families at a time. Our volunteers have the chance to meet and interact with our families, building the personal connections that help our guests leave homelessness behind for good.
