Beds for a New Beginning

What caused this need?

I am working with a mom who recently secured housing for herself and her two young children. After years of sleeping together on a pull-out mattress in a shared living room, they are finally moving into a home they can truly call their own. The sense of safety, stability, and gratitude this brings is hard to put into words. She has worked incredibly hard to get to this point, going from having almost nothing to building a life for her children that she is proud of. I have had the privilege of working alongside this family for about six years, and it has been amazing to witness their journey, growth, and resilience with the support and resources around them. As they move into this new chapter, they are starting over with very few household items and will slowly gather what they need over time. Right now, the most important thing for her is making sure her children have beds of their own to sleep in. She has already picked out the beds and mattresses she hopes to have for when they move in. This will be the first time her kids will have their own beds. Anything helps in giving this family a safe and peaceful place to rest in their new home.
