What caused this need?
After a job loss from a good paying job and a long period of unemployment this homeowner finally took a low wage job. We were able to help her to get a modification from her mortgage company, but after making mortgage and utility payments, very little is left over for basic needs. Currently, this homeowner's daughter-in-law and grandchildren are also living in the home. Even with the additional income provided by the daughter-in-law, the family is struggling. The homeowner is working on finding a higher paying job, but for now are happy that they are able to stay in their home and could use a little help with basic needs and home repairs. The clients currently have to shut off the water after every flush or water will leak to the lower level. They currently have old cast iron pipes in this bathroom. There is currently no insulation in an area of the upstairs which makes one of the bedrooms very hot int he summer and very cold in the winter. Any assistance would be helpful.
