I am working with a mother of three children who has faced significant challenges due to her struggles with substance use. Until recently, she had her kids in her care and was receiving financial assistance from the county to help support her family. She managed to use those funds primarily for her rent, ensuring they had a stable home environment. However, due to her ongoing issues, her children are no longer living with her. Determined to turn her life around and reunite with her children, she is actively working on her case plan goals. These goals are designed to help her demonstrate stability and sobriety, which are essential for regaining custody of her kids. A crucial component of her is to maintain her home in a safe and nurturing condition, making it a welcoming place for her children when they can return. Recently, a job was secured, which offers her hope for better financial stability, but she won’t begin until next week. While she has a plan in place to manage her rent for the upcoming month, she is currently facing immediate financial challenges as she lacks the necessary funds to cover her rent for this month. Additionally, she has an outstanding electricity bill that is also due, adding to her worries.$100.00 of $480.00
