What caused this need?

A single mother of five children has just secured a job in the community. This mother is confident that she will be able to pay July rent however is worried she will not be able to come up with June rent. This mother has been diagnoised with a mental illness and works with community resources to get help for her and her children. Any help towards this single mom would be great.
