A pipe burst on the 3rd floor of Cardinal Ridge Apartments in Belle Plaine on Fe

On Friday, Feb. 6th, the Cardinal Ridge Apartments in Belle Plaine were evacuated due to extensive flooding. Thirty eight residents required immediate shelter. Roughly 23 obtained housing from family and friends. About 15 residents were put up in a hotel by the Red Cross. Twelve residents now have rooms through Thursday, Feb. 19, but they will need shelter for possibly a month or more. Many are vulnerable adults. The financial need displayed ($9000) reflects a rough estimate of 14 nights in the current hotel for 9 rooms housing 12 residents. Any financial assistance will help. Each hotel room costs about $70/night, or $630/night for all 9 rooms. If you are able to provide financial assistance, please send payment to the CAP Agency, c/o Cardinal Ridge Fund, 712 Canterbury St., Shakopee, MN, 55379.
