A Mother’s Fresh Start
A single mother who has worked hard to graduate from treatment in Scott County is now returning to her home in Burnsville to rebuild her life and reunite with her two children. During her time in treatment, she continued paying rent for her apartment, even though she wasn’t living there, demonstrating her deep commitment to maintaining stability for herself and her family. She has already secured employment, taking proactive steps toward financial independence. However, she is struggling with a $400 overdue balance on her electric bill. While her utilities won’t be shut off during the winter months, the overdue amount continues to grow. Without assistance, she will not be able to catch up on the balance by March when protections end. This financial burden is a significant roadblock in her journey to rebuild her life and maintain her recovery. With support, she can overcome this obstacle and continue creating a stable, healthy environment for herself and her children.$0.00 of $400.00
