67-year-old senior with brain disability needs new mattress
Recently an In-Home Supportive Services worker called the CAP Agency Chore Program for Seniors to request help with disposing of an old, flat mattress and box spring and requesting a new one for the senior living below the federal poverty guidelines of only $1003. a month. She is getting other community supports of Medical Assistance, SNAP, Energy Assistance through CAP and is trying very hard to remain independent in her apartment. She is also requesting some pots and pans and a step stool. The CAP Agency arranged and paid for her mattress and box spring removal but needs funding to buy her a new mattress and some household items. Mattress is listed for $300.00, pots and pans approximately $50.00 and step stool, $25.00. Total requested is $375.00-$400.00. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you so very much!$400.00 of $400.00
