3rd grade boy basketball season

We have a 3rd grade student who loves sports. His family paid for him to play football this Fall but had to choose to have the cousin play basketball because costs prevented them from having both in the basketball. The current reality is that this student comes to practice and watches his cousin each day since his family is unable to have both in the program because of costs. He desperately wants to be out with his friends playing. Both parents experienced incredible struggles as young people and went back to school to complete their high school diploma after the typical age of completion. They were both one of the firsts in their family to finish high school. Now, they have completed trades degrees and are working full time. Their children are now moving towards thriving in the educational system they struggled in as parents. And, because of factors like debt, things remain stressful and fragile financially. The children are often in the care of relatives because parents work rotating shifts, including nights. Contributing to this student’s access to basketball participation will improve his social, emotional, and academic health in the short and long term. Thank you for considering. The amount to play is $200 plus the student needs new basketball shoes and bag so total amount asked for is around $400
