🟣 Community Support Needed for a Disabled Individual Facing Housing & Financial Hardship

We are reaching out on behalf of a client who is experiencing significant financial strain while trying to maintain stability and prepare for a major housing transition. She is on a fixed income, receiving Social Security and working part‑time, but her situation has become increasingly difficult due to her roommate no longer working or contributing to the household. This has left her unable to keep up with the mortgage on her own, and she is now being forced to sell her home. Immediate Financial Need She urgently needs assistance paying her MAEPD Premium of $170.00. This coverage is essential for her health and ability to continue working. Housing Need As she prepares to sell her home, she is looking for a one‑bedroom apartment in Scott County that meets the following criteria: • Rent under $1,000 per month • Allows her support cat • Safe, stable, and accessible as she starts over Any leads on affordable, pet‑friendly housing in Scott County would be deeply appreciated. Moving & Storage Need To prepare her home for sale, she is also hoping to find support with: • A moving pod or temporary storage option to hold her belongings while she transitions to a new place. This is a difficult and emotional time for her, and any support—financial assistance, housing leads, or help with storage—would make a meaningful difference as she works to rebuild stability. Thank you for supporting a neighbor in need.
