Young Man w/ Disabilities Needs Financial Support Between Jobs
A young man in Eagan recently left his job after experiencing several unexpected obstacles related to getting essential workplace accommodations in place. He made the decision to leave quickly, because he began to believe he was going to be terminated and did not want this to have an affect on future job searches. He is in the process of reconnecting to support services that will help him obtain different employment that should be a better fit, but he has a few financial needs that need to be taken care of before the end of the month to maintain his housing and phone and internet services (which he will be relying on as he looks for another job). He grew up in the foster care system, because he did not have family members that were able to support him effectively, which includes not being able to provide him with any financial support then or now. He is determined to find and maintain employment, so he can continue to provide for himself, but he needs some financial assistance for this brief period of being in between jobs. He lives in a building where his rent is prorated based on his income for the previous month, so the total for rent, internet, and phone service comes to $157.46.$157.46 of $157.46

What caused this need?
I sent an email before seeing this section, so I suppose I'll post that: First, the "Young Man w/ Disabilities Needs Financial Support Between Jobs" was the first time we posted a need, and I can't get over how quickly and generously the need was met. I am genuinely in awe of how simple and incredibly effective this whole FISH concept and execution is!! And I checked out the new "Donation Listings" section, which is also an amazing idea that's been fleshed out in such an accessible way. As far as receiving the donation for the post- how does that go? Is it something I should be reaching out to you to coordinate? I know I marked for the check to be made payable to Logan Sharpe- the individual who the posting was about, but I didn't include an address, since I hadn't asked for his express permission to do that. Of course, now he'd be happy to give you his address and it could be mailed to him, or we could pick it up/it could get mailed to our office, and we could take him directly to the bank. He is an individual who definitely prioritizes getting his bills paid, so with him specifically, I do not have any concern about that money going anywhere other than what the post detailed- his rent and internet/phone bill. He doesn't need it until the end of the month, so no need to make this a top priority- I just want to make sure I provide any extra information you might need. So so grateful that you all exist
