Thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s 2nd Thursday meeting. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn more about two impactful programs supporting women and families in our community.
Beyond New Beginnings shared about their current four-plex housing model and the incredible success stories of women who have completed their program. These stories included women entering college, completing degrees, obtaining professional licenses, and becoming stable, thriving parents for their children. They also discussed their Monday night programming, which includes volunteers who provide childcare while the women meet—an essential component that allows participants to fully engage in their recovery and growth. In addition, they shared exciting future plans for a second four-plex, with construction anticipated to begin in 2026 and operations launching in 2027.
We also heard from Wellcome Manor, which provides a residential treatment program specifically designed for women, including women with young children. The facility includes one wing for women without children and another for women with children, along with a fully licensed on-site daycare. They shared details about the daily programming the women participate in, as well as the extensive resources available to support children. A strong emphasis is placed on parenting education and relationship-building exercises that help strengthen bonds between mothers and their children. They expressed great pride in having so many supportive services available on site and shared that they currently have openings for treatment. They are known for being very responsive when someone needs help quickly.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Resonate Church for hosting us. We truly appreciate their beautiful, comfortable space and their continued hospitality.
For those who were unable to attend the meeting, we strongly encourage you to look into both of these programs. They are valuable resources and excellent tools to have in your toolbox when supporting individuals and families on their journey toward stability and healing.
Thank you again to our presenters, our host, and everyone who continues to support and strengthen this network.
