A Heartfelt Plea: Help Provide a Peaceful Goodbye to an Emotional Support Dog
I am writing to you on behalf of my client. She has a senior emotional support dog who has been by her side for over a decade, helping her through everything she experienced, both the good and the bad. Unfortunately, her dog's health has been deteriorating over the last month and my client believes she will need to be put down within a week. My client doesn't have wiggle room in her budget and is very worried about her ability to finance end of life services for her emotional support dog. I would like to help take some stress off her plate by helping her pay for humane euthanasia, as well as a footprint as a keepsake to help her in her grief. I have priced the end-of-life services at Mission Animal Hospital at $300. The end-of-life services this price includes is the final exam, cremation with ashes returned, 2 ink paw prints, and 1 clay paw print when ashes are picked up. My client's emotional support dog is more than a pet or helper but is truly her closest family member. Her dog is her confidant, her closest companion, her most steadfast friend. My client would be extremely appreciative of this financial assistance to give her dog humane end-of-life services.$300.00 of $300.00

What caused this need?
The cost of end-of-life services is $300. This includes the final exam, cremation with ashes returned, 2 ink paw prints, and 1 clay paw print when ashes are picked up. My client lives on a tight budget. All of her income comes from social security disability payments. She is unable to stand or sit for long periods of time, which leaves her unable to supplement her income with a part-time job. We have searched for other options through the humane society, as well as the UMN-TC Vet program, but have been unable to find resources that are applicable.
