What caused this need?
UPDATE: STILL NEEDED - I am working with a mother who has two school-aged children. She and her children have been homeless for over two years. Last school year they lived in a nearby town, but the children were bussed to Shakopee Schools, to continue their schooling in their home school environment. They had to leave that home this past summer. Mom and her children are currently doubled up with the grandmother, in a one-bedroom apartment. However this is a senior living facility, so management of the facility has asked them to move out. Mom has an opportunity to rent a home, in another nearby community, and she needs help with damage deposit ($1800.00) and first month's rent ($1500.00.) Mom is currently employed. She will be sharing housing expenses with another family member who will live with them, and together they are able to afford the monthly rent moving forward. Shakopee Schools will offer bussing again, to allow the students to continue to attend their home schools.
